THREE men have been arrested after the car they were travelling in was captured by speed cameras doing more than 100mph in Staffordshire.
Officers from Central Motorway Police Group attempted to stop the vehicle, a Jaguar XF, near junction 14 at Stafford, at around 8.30am on August 26.
It failed to stop before colliding with the embankment.
The occupants, three men aged between 21 and 23, were arrested and on searching the vehicle officers found a quantity of drugs, suspected cannabis and tablets, which were seized along with other items.
One of the men went to hospital for treatment for a pre existing condition before being taken into custody.
The men, who are from the West Midlands area, were released on bail pending further inquiries by detectives from Staffordshire Police.
