TWO men had to be freed from their cars after a rush-hour smash in Hixon today.
Firefighters from Stafford and Rugeley were called to the two-car collision on Church Lane in Hixon at 6.57am.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue confirmed two men were freed from their vehicles, with one man released by paramedics and the other cut free from his car by firefighters hydraulic cutting equipment.
She said both were taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
The road was closed in both directions while the incident was cleared.
