THE Co-op Stafford Department Store, which has been shut for five months, is set to re-open as a new fashion and home retailer tomorrow.
The store in Gaolgate Street is set to include a range of fashion and home items.
Brand Retailing Manchester took over the shop when it closed, creating around 70 jobs, with previous staff given the opportunity to apply.
Earlier this year Philip Yates, a former Co- operative Society employee himself, said he wanted to go back to basics and bring a traditional department store back to the town.
Brand Retailing owns the Fashion Factory in Cannock, offering a range of brands at 70 per cent less than the normal retail price.
The Co-op department store closed in April after almost 50 years in Stafford. It was a major blow coming on the back of other town closures, including HMV, Druckers Patisserie and Woolworths.
