Apology for women raped by father

Two women raped and abused by their father over 25 years have been given an apology by the authorities which failed to protect themTwo women who were repeatedly abused and raped by their father for three decades - bearing seven of his children - have received an unreserved apology from authorities who failed to protect them.

The women were repeatedly beaten and raped by their father, enduring 18 pregnancies between them during the horrific ordeal. In November 2008 he was jailed for life.

CCTV of Douglas Hall approaching Callerton Parkway level-crossing in his Audi TTA motorist has escaped a driving ban after being caught playing chicken with a train on a railway crossing.

Douglas Hall was caught on CCTV jumping a red light at a notorious Metro light rail crossing at Callerton, near Newcastle and narrowly missing an oncoming train.
