CIVIC AWARDS There is still time to nominate someone under 21 years of age for the Penkridge Parish Council Young Persons Award. Do you know a young person who has made an exceptional contribution to village life? Details of his or her activities together with your contact details marked “Nomination” should be sent to the Haling Dene Centre.

PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY A vacancy exists for a Parish Councillor (Penkridge South East). Anyone who would like to be considered for co-option should write to the Parish Clerk at the Haling Dene Centre.

NEIGHBOURHOOD NETWORK Members of the group meet on Monday at 6.30pm at The Haling Dene Centre to discuss local issues such as antisocial behaviour, road safety or no-drinking zones.

TABLE TOP SALE The next bric-a-brac and vintage retro collectables sale is taking place on Saturday at The Peace Memorial Hall, Pinfold Lane 10am-12 noon.

YOGA CLASSES Stafford College’s group classes are running until the end of June at Princefield First School, Saxon Road, 7.30pm – 9pm.

PENKRIDGE AND DISTRICT RIDING CLUB The next show of the season is on Sunday and will be a qualifier for NCPA, Equifest, The Royal London, Cricklands and The Your Horse ESUK Grassroots Championships. The club’s venue for shows this season is Rodbaston Equestrian Centre, Penkridge

ST MICHAEL’S FIRST SCHOOL There will be a Bags2School collection tomorrow. Bags should be brought to school before 9am.

RECORDER GROUP The South Staffs Society of Recorder Players will be meeting on Saturday at the Haling Dene Centre 2.30pm-5pm for a playing session. Meetings are for anyone who can read music and play at least one size of recorder. ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH An all-age Pentecost Picnic is being held at The Haling Dene Centre on Sunday 1pm-5pm. Patrons should bring their own food and picnic which will be moved indoors if it rains. Games 2pm-4pm and all age worship at 4pm.
