STAFFORD boxer Lucy Sarsfield (The Right Stuff ABC), the ABA National 58KG class two champion, had an excellant win on the road at the weekiend in Bournemouth.
The Weston Road Academy student face Chloe Le Page of Weymouth ABC, herself a 2012/13 National ABAE champion and winner of six of her previous eight contests, however she found the Stafford girl too hot to handle.
Sarsfield came out quickly and never allowed her opponent to settle, Lucy scoring repeatedly with stiff jabs and follow up back hands.
In round two, Lucy turned up the heat on her opponent, throwing combinations of three and four shots repeatedly.
By the start of the third round Sarsfield was in total control and had her opponent in trouble with a huge rear hand hook.
Le Page bravely held on to hear the final bell and the formality of having the Stafford girls' hand raised for a unanimous points win, her third on the trot this season.
Lucy already has her next bout lined up in Shrewsbury on February 28 against another current 54 kg National ABAE champion Tysie Gallager of St Albans ABC.
Lucy's coach, Andy Whitehall commented: "That was a great win and the best Lucy has boxed to date. Winning the National title in December has given her new confidence, her goal is now to work towards boxing for England."
